കേരളീയ കലയേയും, സാഹിത്യത്തേയും, സംസ്കാരത്തേയും സ്നേഹിക്കുന്ന മധുരതരമായ ഒരു കൂട്ടായ്മയാണ് ശ്രുതി. യുകെയിൽ നമ്മുടെ പൈതൃകത്തെ നിലനിർത്താനും പ്രദർശിപ്പിക്കുവാനുമായി ശ്രുതി ലാഭേച്ഛ കൂടാതെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു. ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളോട് പ്രതിബദ്ധത കാട്ടുന്നവർ ഓരോ വർഷവും, ഒരു കുടുംബം പോലെ വർത്തിക്കുന്ന, ഈ കൂട്ടായ്മയിൽ അണിചേരുന്നു.

ശ്രുതി കുടുംബത്തിൽ നിന്ന് 2013 മുതൽ മുടങ്ങാതെ (കോവിഡ് സമയത്തൊഴിച്ച്) വായനക്കാരുടെ മുന്നിലെത്തുന്ന വാർഷികപ്പതിപ്പാണ് ശ്രുതിരേഖ. ശ്രുതി പത്രാധിപസമിതിയുടെ മേൽനോട്ടത്തിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന ശ്രുതിരേഖ മലയാള കലാസാഹിത്യസാംസ്കാരിക രംഗത്തെ സമാരാധ്യരുടേയും ശ്രുതി അംഗങ്ങളുടേയും കുട്ടികളുടെയും സാഹിത്യചിത്രരചനാസൃഷ്ടികൾ ഉൾക്കൊളളുന്നു.

Sruthi is a non-profit organisation of members united by a passion for the arts, literature and culture of Kerala. We identify and nurture talents to encourage appreciation of our cultural heritage in the UK, with new members who demonstrate a continued commitment to our mission joining our ranks each year.

Since 2013, Sruthi has published an annual magazine, Sruthirekha, with articles in both English and Malayalam. We are privileged to receive contributions from across the literary, artistic and cultural fields of Kerala, with similarly wide readership through circulation of both physical and digital copies. Edited by an in-house committee of Sruthi members, the publication catalyses creative outputs from Sruthi’s adults and children alike.

2023 Annual Day

Sruthi’s 2023 Annual Day was held on 15 April. The Chief Guests, Sri Madanan and Dr Ammanur Rajaneesh Chakyar, enthralled the audience with their art demonstration and Koodiyattam performances respectively, followed by live dance, music and theatre productions by Sruthi members.


2022 Annual Day

Sruthi’s 2022 Annual Day was held on 22 October, featuring live entertainment in the form of dance, music and drama performed by Sruthi members. Chief Guest Paul Zacharia, the eminent Malayalam short story writer and essayist, engaged the audience with an insightful speech on the Malayali ‘state’. The speech was published in Mathrubhumi Weekly as a cover story later that year.


Other Recent Events

Winter Event

A virtual show was held on 29 January 2022, highlighting the ancient Kerala art form of “Tholpavakoothu”, a style of play using leather shadow puppets. Padma Shri Ramachandra Pulavar and his team of Tholpavakoothu artists showcased an exclusive performance of the story of the Ramayanam. Additionally, they offered an insightful interview with a demonstration of their preparations behind the scenes, and the various forms of puppets used. This event also featured performances by Sruthi’s young talents, alongside other family events.


Sruthi and Kala collaboration

Sruthi and Kala, two leading UK organisations celebrating Kerala’s literature, arts and culture, came together on 6 June 2021 for a virtual event to showcase the musical talents of their members.


Coronation - A skit by Sruthi

Coronation is a skit produced during lockdown by Sruthi’s Executive Committee, on the woes of being an artist. Through the Covid-19 pandemic, Sruthi was involved in raising funds for supporting artists.
