Chief Guests
Sri Paul Zacharia is the recipient of numerous prestigious literary awards, including Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award, Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award, Vallathol Award and Ezhuthachan Puraskaram. His body of work covers a wide range, from short stories and essays to travelogues and newspaper columns. He is also well-known as the story writer of the acclaimed movie "Vidheyan", adapted by Sri Adoor Gopalakrishnan.
Programme of Events
- "Hello...Anybody there" - A skit completely done by the Sruthi kids is the dramatisation of a short story by the Japanese writer Shinichi Hoshi. The story is universal and very contemporary, the unbridled exploitation of nature by mankind and unexpected consequences.
- Navarasam: A dance sculpture based on rasas depicted by Bharata Muni in Natyashastra. Every segment is interwoven with multiple layers of Bhava which results in showcasing the intensity of each rasas.
- Geethanjali: Sruthi orchestra presents a fitting tribute to some of the outstanding artists who sadly left us in the recent past. It is a trip down the memory lane reminiscing some of the songs that live with us forever
- Abhimukham: An engaging interview with the Chief Guest Sri Paul Zacharia to share his perspectives and views
- Noolpaavakali: A mime depicting the hard reality of power puppeteers, dogs on leash and political puppets
- "Aarkariyam": Drama depiction of Sri Paul Zacharia's popular short story of the same name
